Recently a young mom, Denise, was referred to us from Turning Point. Finding herself in a really tough spot, she was scrambling to keep herself and her young son “afloat.” With only $273.00 a month plus food stamps to live on, she was desperate to find work to keep a roof over their heads and the lights on. Denise had applied for work in Cardington and was elated to be called in, hired and expected to report for work at 6:30 am in two days. Wonderful news, but now she faced another obstacle. She had absolutely no funds to put gas in her car. By then she had exhausted all other means of resources she knew of. She would not receive her first paycheck for 2 weeks. After her application, listening, praying and confirming her hire, enough funds were provided through a Love INC network church to fill her gas tank to get her started on a new path.
